Originally opened 1860, Stagecoach Inn is a Texas landmark. Known by other names in the past – Salado Hotel and Shady Villa Hotel – it is as Stagecoach Inn that it is most well-known. As the 2nd oldest, continuously running inn or hotel in the state, travelers have parked their wagon, horse or vehicle at this iconic inn for over 160 years..

Byways is working with Alexa Hospitality to revitalize the property into a premier 65,000 sq. ft. hospitality destination with 78 rooms, a pool, ballroom, event center, and modern amenities. Backed by ~$1.9M in incentives from the Salado EDC, the project positions this historic landmark to capture strong regional tourism, events and lodging demand along the growing I-35 corridor.
