Our Team

Brian is a Cofounder and Partner at Byways Hospitality. An environmental engineer by training, he began his career in engineering consulting before discovering his passion for hospitality in boutique hotels around the Texas Hill Country. He got his MBA at the University of Texas while operating a family cabin resort in Leakey, TX.  
In 2013, Brian co-founded Alexa Management — a real estate development and management company focused on custom hotels and mixed-use projects— with his wife, Bree. Then in 2016, he co-founded The Guild, a hospitality platform that enables white-glove service within flexible stays in multifamily assets. 
Brian lives to create extraordinary moments for travelers, and strives to provide guests with memories they’ll talk about forever. On weekends you can find him mountain biking around Austin, jamming to alt-country, hosting neighborhood barbecues and ping-pong tournaments, or mischief-making with his two children.

Collin is a Cofounder and Partner at Byways Hospitality. Prior to his career in development, he played football at Yale University, worked in strategy consulting out of Seattle, advised middle-market private equity in Austin, and served as the Chief of Staff at The Guild - a venture-backed real estate company. 
Growing up in San Antonio, Collin developed a deep reverence for all things Texas. He is now focused on building exceptional projects across the intrepid West, and crafting authentic experiences that travelers and guests will love.
In his spare time, you might catch him shooting film with his dog Poncho, writing a short story, drinking Lone Star at the White Horse Tavern, or turning a wrench on his classic Bronco.
